Huzzle operates two interconnected business units:
- Huzzle Talent: an offshore recruitment and talent placement platform connecting candidates with employers.
- Huzzle Labs: a human data and evaluation services business providing reinforcement learning environments, RLHF datasets, and contextual evaluations to AI laboratories and enterprises.
This privacy policy applies to all services provided under both business units.
2. Information We Collect About You
The categories of personal data we may process depend on which of our services you interact with:
- Contact Details: name, email address, postal address, telephone number, social media username.
- Activity and Behavioural Data: browsing history, search history, clicks, interaction patterns, platform usage data.
- Personal Characteristics: nationality, date of birth, gender, academic qualifications, professional experience.
- Images and Recordings: photos, videos, voice recordings, profile pictures.
- Views and Opinions: survey responses, testimonials, references.
- Technical Identifiers: IP address, MAC address, browser data, device identifiers, unique identifiers.
- Professional Qualifications and Work Output (Huzzle Labs): domain expertise credentials, academic qualifications, annotation and evaluation outputs, quality scores.
- Financial and Payment Data: bank account details or payment information necessary for contractor compensation (Huzzle Labs annotators and domain experts).
- Aggregated Data: statistical or demographic data derived from your personal data. Aggregated data is not considered personal data unless combined with your personal data in a way that identifies you.
3. Legal Justifications We Rely On
- Consent: you have given clear consent for us to process your personal data for a specific purpose.
- Legitimate Interests: we have a business or commercial reason to use your information, provided this is not overridden by your own rights and interests.
- Contractual Obligations: the processing is necessary for a contract we have with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract.
- Legal Obligation: the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject.

Work output (including annotations, evaluations, ratings, and written responses) is shared with our enterprise and AI laboratory clients under the terms of your independent contractor agreement. Where possible, work output is shared in a pseudonymised or anonymised form. Your personal contact and payment details are never shared with clients.

14. International Transfers
Some of our external third parties are based outside the UK and EEA. Whenever we transfer your personal data outside the UK and EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection by implementing at least one of the following safeguards:
- The destination country has been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection by the European Commission or UK Government.
- We use Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.
Huzzle Labs clients may be located outside the UK and EEA. Where work output or personal data is transferred to such clients, appropriate safeguards are applied.
15. Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered, or disclosed. We limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator where we are legally required to do so.
Where you have chosen a password to access our platforms, you are responsible for keeping it confidential.
16. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements.
For Huzzle Labs annotators and domain experts, work output may be retained for the duration of client contracts and any applicable warranty or support period thereafter, as specified in your contractor agreement.
To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process it, and applicable legal requirements.
17. Automated Decision-Making
Your personal data is not used in any automated decision-making (a decision made solely by automated means without human involvement) or profiling (automated processing of personal data to evaluate certain conditions about an individual).
18. Your Legal Rights
Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data.
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal data.
- Request erasure of your personal data where there is no good reason for continued processing.
- Object to processing where we rely on a legitimate interest.
- Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Request the transfer (portability) of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent to process your data.
- Make a complaint to the relevant supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
You will not have to pay a fee to exercise these rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to comply if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.
